Here’s a heads up for all of our pirate readers. Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, there will be a good ol’ fashioned pirate raid in Union Square park, right in front of the Washington statue. What does a pirate raid entail? No idea, but it may be a good time to dust off that peg leg. Expect a handful of confused Whole Foods patrons.

Oh, and the booty? Free ice cream!

According to a marking on the the flyer’s treasure map (who knew pirates had such great penmanship?), the event seems to be associated with the Ars Nova Theater on 54th st. They’re known for providing cheap theater, and cultivating new theater talent.
